Community Shows Support at Wear Red Day Event
This February marks the 10th year of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement. Despite a lot of progress, there is still a long way to go. Heart disease continuesto be the number one killer of women, taking more lives than all kinds of cancer combined. That’s why N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center hosted a Wear Red Day® event at the Extension Office. Over 70 community members came out on February 1st to show their support and educate themselves about heart health. Pictured are some members Moyock Extension and Community Association club wearing red and enjoy the festivities.
