Northeast NC Daffodil Society Fall Daffodil Membership Meeting

The Northeast North Carolina Daffodil Society Fall Daffodil Membership Meeting and Bulb Exchange, Co-Sponsored by North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center And The Master Gardener Volunteers of Currituck County. Theme:   “Fall Daffodil Bulb Planting Time”                    Date: Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.    Location: N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. Admission: Open to the public free of charge.

The Northeast North Carolina Daffodil Society Membership Meeting will feature American Daffodil Society member Brent Heath the noted garden and daffodil presenter, garden writer, and co-owner of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs from Gloucester, VA. Mr. Heath will speak on the subject of ‘Undaunted Daffodils’ and how to create your own collection of daffodils for garden and show. The speaker will be followed by our bulb exchange and a pot luck lunch. The public is invited. Membership is encouraged.

The NENCDS meeting will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. Registration for the meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013. The meeting will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Come enjoy a day with daffodils.

The Northeast North Carolina Daffodil Society was formed in 2006, is associated with the American Daffodil Society with over 1300 members across the United States and foreign countries. The NE NC Daffodil Society co-sponsored by the Currituck County Extension Service, has 39 members. The NE NC Daffodil Society is proud to bring meeting and bulb exchange. This is the time of year for planting daffodil bulbs for spring enjoyment. Come and join in.
