7th Annual Northeast NC Daffodil Show

Theme:          “Nature’s Wonder”

Date:               Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location:        N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center,

                      120 Community Way  (off  Route 158), Barco, NC 27917

Admission:     Open to the public free of charge

The Horticulture Division will showcase daffodils representing many of the more than one thousand varieties of blooms. Daffodils are not just “yellow.”  Show includes horticulture, photography, special classes for Small Growers, Youth and a large Miniature Section. No prior registration is required for daffodil entries. Everyone is welcome.

Entries by Exhibitors shall be accepted from:

5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 21,2014 and

7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014

In the Artistic Division, beautiful arrangements of daffodils will depict “Nature’s Wonder”. Registration is required for this division. Persons interested in entering an Artistic Division flower arrangement should contact: Registrar: James Fincher, (252) 599-2536 or jfinchir@aol.com to register.

 The Northeast North Carolina Daffodil Society was formed in 2006, is associated with the American Daffodil Society with over 1300 members across the United States and foreign countries. The NE NC Daffodil Society has 39 members. The daffodil show is co-sponsored by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, Currituck County Center and the Master Gardener Volunteers of Currituck County. The NE NC Daffodil Society is proud to bring this show to Barco. Everyone interested in gardening, arranging flowers, and the beauty of nature, is invited to come and enjoy this remarkable exhibition.
