Youth Cooking Program

Hey kids, do you love spending time in the kitchen? If so, this 4-H cooking series is just for you! The cost for the workshop is $5, which covers supplies. Students will learn how to plan, purchase, and prepare healthy and tasty meals without spending a lot of money. Youth, ages 10-15, will have the opportunity to actually prepare and eat a meal during the workshop. Sign up for one or all. Here are the remaining classes in this series:

  • June 16, 9-1 pm Topic: Healthy Main Dishes and Simple Desserts $5
  • July 18, 9-1 pm Topic: Etiquette and Serving Others/Preparing Appetizers $5
  • August 20, 9-1 pm Topic: Making Healthy Substitutions/Side Dishes $5
  • October 9, 5-7pm 4-H Foods Show (Youth Demonstrate Cooking Skills) Informational packets will be provided upon registration.

Please make checks payable to: County of Currituck & mail form along with payment to: N.C. Cooperative Extension, c/o 4-H Youth Cooking Series, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. Space is available for ten students.
