Currituck Hosts Cowboy Mounted Shooting Event

Cowboy mounted shooting is the fastest growing equine sport in the nation with over 14,000 members. Competitions are held in nearly every state and range from local levels to several national competitions held each year. Mounted Shooting is not just for competitors. This high action event creates great excitement to competitors and spectators Double L Bar has broadened the horizons of mounted shooting for competitors, spectators, and community. The mounted shooting events are filled with family friendly entertainment for a crowd of spectators.

Currituck County 4-H will host the Double L Bar Shooters cowboy mounted shooting team at the Currituck County Rural Center, 184 Milburn Sawyer Road, Powells Point, on December 13, 2014. The demonstrations will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, so come out and enjoy the fun!
