International Foods Workshop
Do you want to try your hand at preparing delicious cuisine from around the World? This workshop may be for you! A 4-H International Foods workshop will be held on July 29-30 from 9am-4pm daily. Learn all about preparing international cuisine while being introduced to many exciting cultures, customs and traditions. Cost to register is $20, which covers all supplies and educational materials.
Young people ages 8-12 will learn the basics of kitchen safety, kitchen etiquette, and will have the opportunity to prepare a variety of international foods including main dishes, desserts and appetizers. Youth will also study the land and culture of countries where our recipes originated. Countries being studies include: Thailand, Greece, France and Brazil.
Pre registration is required. You can pre register online at go.ncsu.edu/internationalfoods or by contacting the Currituck 4-H office, 232-2262. Required forms can also be found on our website currituck.ces.ncsu.edu. You may bring payment (payable to Currituck County) and required 4- forms upon arrival or mail to:
