The Currituck County Center of North Carolina Cooperative Extension will be sponsoring a pesticide continuing education class at the Currituck County Extension Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC on Monday, November 9, 2015 beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 12:00 p.m. The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has approved this class for 3.0 hours of continuing education credits for categories – A B G H I K L M N O T D X. The class will be held on Pesticide Safety and Personal Protective Equipment.

Topics of the training will include:

– Pesticide Exposure and Human Health

– Respiratory Protection Devices

– Decontamination of PPE and Pesticide Application Equipment

– Protection from Pesticides – Reducing Exposure

– Hands-0n Demonstrations – Proper Use and Cleaning of Personal Protective Equipment
