Join 4-H for a day filled with animal friends, fun, and interesting information!

Visit NC State Veterinary Medicine for a day filled with animal friends, fun, and interesting information. NCSU vet school will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Currituck County 4-H will be providing transportation for all youth who wish to attend. We will leave the Currituck Extension Office at 7:00 a.m. and return around 7 p.m. Youth will learn more about the operations and facilities at the NC State Veterinary Hospital and budding veterinarians can check out what the classrooms and laboratories are like in a state-of-the-art college of veterinary medicine. The group will also be able to stop by and visit the chicks, cows, horses, turkeys, goats, and pigs at the Teaching Animal Unit. This is a great opportunity to learn and get hands on experience in the area of veterinary science. Please call the Currituck County Extension Office to reserve a seat, 252-232-2262.
