plants for sale

The 2017 Currituck Master Gardener Fall Plant Sale will be having a change of venue this year! Instead of being held at the Currituck County Center in Barco, Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will be holding their annual Fall Plant Sale as part of the Currituck County Heritage Festival Bulls & BBQ Edition. The plant sale will be held on Saturday, September 16th from 1 to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the CCRC (Currituck County Rural Center) located at 184 Milburn Sawyer Road, Powells Point, NC. All plants being sold at this sale are Extension Master Gardener propagated and/or grown. Currituck County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will also be on hand at the sale to answer your gardening and landscaping questions; help you find the perfect plant for that empty spot in your yard, and provide information about “Going Native” by using native plants in your home landscape.

Other activities at the Currituck Heritage Festival Bulls & BBQ Edition will include a sanctioned Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) Cook-off, live music, antique tractor show, 4-H and N.C. Cooperative Extension events, children’s games, and local vendors selling their unique wares. So come on out and join us at this admission free community event! It should be a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
