Paint Currituck Red With NC Cooperative Extension’s Heart Health Awareness Campaign
Heart Health Poster Contest
NC Cooperative Extension is looking for some creative youth to develop this year’s Wear Red for Women’s Heart Health Campaign Posters. From January 8th through the 22nd we will be accepting digital posters. Posters can be submitted in person as a hard copy or as a digital image. They can be hand drawn or digital creations. There are five rules:
- Must contain the date of national wear red day which is February 2nd.
- Must encourage people to wear red on that day or heart healthy activities.
- Must be primarily done in shades of red.
- May not be larger than a legal sheet of paper (8’ x14”).
- Must use #PaintCurrituckRed somewhere on the poster.
There will be one winner from each of the following age groups; 5 to 8, 9 to 13, and 14 to 18 years of age. The winner from each age group will receive a monetary prize of $50.00 sponsored by Currituck Internal Medicine of Chesapeake Regional Medical Group as well as have their poster printed and distributed throughout the county. Judging will be held on January 26th.
