Currituck County Extension is hosting a 4-H Domestic Poultry Show on Saturday, September 15, 2018 and now is the time to register to receive your chicks! So let’s get crackin’! The show is open to all youth from ages 5 to 18. There is a registration fee of $20 which covers all show costs, 2 chicks for the show, and additional poultry show workshops. The only chickens permitted in the show are the chicks received through this program registration. This year’s show breed will be “Barred Rocks”. This breed has been know to be kid friendly and a good egg producer for both winter and summer months. So show off your chickens and “strut your stuff”, by registering for the 2018 4-H Domestic Poultry Show.
