Do you love cooking with Herbs? Would you love to cook with herbs year round? Well, this is the class for you! The Currituck County Center of N.C. Cooperative Extension will be having a “Gardening and Cooking with Herbs” class on Monday, May 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The class will be held at the Currituck County Extension Center located at 120 Community Way in Barco, NC. Registration and a class fee of $20 are required.

We will begin with a lesson in container and windowsill herb gardening. During this portion of the class, you will also learn what herbs pair well together and how to preserve herbs for later use. Participants will even get to plant a window herb garden to take home! Following that, the second half of the class is learning how to use your windowsill herbs to create delicious dishes filled with fresh flavor. Participants will create a full lunch from drinks to desserts using herbs in every dish. Space is limited so hurry and sign up today! This will be a fun and informative class you don’t want to miss.

Pre-registration is required. You can register online via our online registration form, or by contacting the office at 252-232-2261. Class size is limited and reservations are made upon receipt of class fee. Payments can be made in person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center or by mailing a check made payable to “Currituck County” to 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917.
