The field tour will highlight twelve soybean research trials, with emphasis on maximizing the production of maturity groups 3 and 4 soybeans. Presentations will be delivered by experts from North Carolina State University, Virginia Tech, as well as North Carolina Cooperative Extension Agents. Topics include planting date, plant population, insect management, fertilization, variety selection, row-width, disease management, and harvest-aids.

North Carolina Pesticide and Certified Crop Advisor credits will be available. More information is available on the Northeast Ag Expo website.

The Northeast Ag Expo Team is a North Carolina Cooperative Extension group that serves Camden, Currituck, Chowan, Gates, Pasquotank, and Perquimans Counties. This 6-county team holds two field days annually, which are collaborative efforts with agriculture producers, agribusinesses, North Carolina State University, and commodity groups.
