North Carolina Extension and Community Association logoPursuing a college degree? Apply for one of Currituck County Extension and Community Association scholarships. North Carolina Extension & Community Association, Inc. (ECA) offers educational scholarships to NC youth and adults who are pursuing a college education in North Carolina. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students in obtaining a degree at any North Carolina college, in any field of study, with priority given to those who choose a Family and Consumer Sciences related field. Part-time students must carry no less than six (6) hours per semester and full-time students must carry no less than twelve (12) hours per semester.

Each of the five North Carolina Cooperative Extension districts award two $800 scholarships, one youth and one adult. In addition, Currituck County is offering a $250.00 Scholarship to Currituck County residents. Complete a separate application for each scholarship.

The application criteria include:

  • Activities and Honors – 25%
  • Connection and Involvement with Cooperative Extension Service (NCCES) – 25%
  • Financial Need – 25%
  • Scholarship Potential – 25%
