ECA Educational Scholarship Opportunities
Pursuing a college degree? Apply for one of Currituck County Extension and Community Association scholarships. North Carolina Extension & Community Association, Inc. (ECA) offers educational scholarships to NC youth and adults who are pursuing a college education in North Carolina. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students in obtaining a degree at any North Carolina college, in any field of study, with priority given to those who choose a Family and Consumer Sciences related field. Part-time students must carry no less than six (6) hours per semester and full-time students must carry no less than twelve (12) hours per semester.
Each of the five North Carolina Cooperative Extension districts award two $800 scholarships, one youth and one adult. In addition, Currituck County is offering a $250.00 Scholarship to Currituck County residents. Complete a separate application for each scholarship.
The application criteria include:
- Activities and Honors – 25%
- Connection and Involvement with Cooperative Extension Service (NCCES) – 25%
- Financial Need – 25%
- Scholarship Potential – 25%

Applications are due Feb. 1, 2019, and should be returned to: N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917.
