Many of us are familiar with growing watermelons and pumpkins, but have you ever grown a GIANT PUMPKIN? How about a GIANT WATERMELON?
Well, it is time you did and we will provide the seeds, information, and support on your quest. We will even show off your giant pumpkin or watermelon at the Currituck County Harvest Festival which will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center on October 10, 2020. If you have a little space and like to grow things or want to try – this is for you!
This is a free project and if you will register through Eventbrite, we will mail you some seeds and send you helpful information and links to resources that you can use to grow the largest pumpkin or watermelon in Currituck County. You may use your own seeds as well. You can send us updates and photos along the way and we will send you information too. It is open to all kids up to age 18, so register now and let’s get those seeds started!
