The Swain County 4-H Livestock Club youth participated in the first annual Halloween Photo Contest. Kendra Fortner, Livestock Agent for Swain County, wanted to give youth a way to ‘Show’ their animals this year. They had worked so hard to take care of them, but didn’t have the opportunity to actually take their animal to compete at a 4-H livestock competition due to COVID-19.
The photo contest encouraged youth to have fun, dress up their livestock animal and throw on a costume of their own and of course, accomplished the goal of “Showing” their 4-H livestock animal!
