Join us for 4-H Summer Fun 2021!

For summer 2021, Yadkin County 4-H will be offering in-person Summer Fun programs and at-home kits/virtual programs. Due to COVID-19, our classes will be smaller and there are extra rules and protocols in place. Please read through the entire Summer Fun packet, linked below, to make sure you are aware of all rules & guidelines.

2021 Yadkin County 4-H Summer Fun Packet-Covid-19 Policies

Don’t forget that in order to participate this year, the following must happen:

  • Complete registration form & payment.
  • Youth must be registered in 4-H Online for 2021 in order to participate.
  • Youth must complete the required Covid-19 training video in order to participate in all in-person programs (this step is not required for those only participating in the at-home kits).

4-H STEM Camp

Information:
Date: July 14th
Age Range: 5-11
Cost: Free
Location: Yadkin Park
Time: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Limit: 10 YouthDive into the world of STEM with 4-H! The areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are so important for youth to learn, but also can be  so much fun to learn about at the same time! At this program, youth will be able to practice their mad scientist skills and conduct experiments. They will also get to work as a team to engineer their own creations as well.

4-H'ers Walking for a Better Community

Age Range: 11-18
Cost: Free
Location: Multiple-Yadkin Park Day 1, Yadkinville Community Park Day 2, and Yadkin County Cooperative Extension Day 3
Time: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Limit: 15 YouthIt’s time to put on your tennis shoes and take steps to “make the best better” in our community! This program will allow 4-H’ers to participate in a walk audit of the town of Yadkinville. Walk audits are designed to bring people together to assess a neighborhood and brainstorm ways to make it easier for people to walk safely around the community. This walk audit will give youth ways to help their community, while also learning how to be leaders in their community. We will be visiting lots of fun places in the town of Yadkinville including the Yadkin Park, Yadkinville Community Park, and our own Cooperative Extension Office.

Chef and the Child

Returning programs from 2020 Summer Fun!

If you miss our in-person Chef and the Child Program, you need to check out this fun program online! It is self-paced and you get to learn from real chefs how to cook while also learning kitchen safety along the way. This is a great workshop to help you with your cooking 4-H Project Record Books rather you attended this event last year or not.
