L.I.T is a program to engage and empower teens, grades 9-12, by providing access to new ideas, experiences, training, internships, volunteer opportunities and team building activities. Teens will grow in self-confidence, self-motivation and self-responsibility as they learn to manage conflict, regulate emotions and communicate more clearly in a safe, friendly and fun small group setting of piers.
Participants will be encouraged to expand the way they think about their future and participate in activities designed to help them identify the necessary steps to create opportunities that will help them achieve their goals in life. We will practice and develop marketable life skills, teamwork strategies, and integrity of character as we learn to manage emotions, and communicate clearly and respectfully.
