Description: Extension Master Food Volunteers Monthly Meeting
Extension Master Food Volunteers work to extend the reach of the Family and Consumer Sciences programming by assisting and leading the programs, demonstrations, and workshops related to food, food safety, and nutrition. Volunteers received 30 hours of training and 20 hours of shadowing to become certified as an Extension Master Food Volunteer. The program is open to all youth ages 8 to 14. We will meet from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. twice a month starting in February. Each session will be hands-on and much of our activities will center around our 4-H Community Garden and greenhouse. The cost is only $15 for the entire program! The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers in the Rick Gardener Administrative Building on Colonial Avenue in Elizabeth City on Friday, March 29, 2019. The meeting begins at 10:00 am and should conclude by 11:30 am.
