2018 Home Canning Series
NC Cooperative Extension is holding a series of home canning classes from 1:30 - 3:30 pm at the Camden County Senior Center. Each class requires a $15.00 class fee. Check out the dates and descriptions below. Each class offers a hands-on experience!
2018 Class Schedule
Salsa - August 29th
In this class, participants will be preparing two types of salsa, Spicy Tomato Salsa and Papaya-Pineapple Salsa, which will be preserved using a water bath canner.
Fruit Butters - September 12th
In this class, participants learn how to preserve and prepare apple and pear butter. Fruit butters are thick, smooth spreads flavored with fruit and spices.Once the butters are made a water bath canner will be used to preserve them.

You can register online at go.ncsu.edu/camdencanning18 or by contacting the office at 252-232-2261. Class size is limited and reservations are confirmed upon receipt of class fee. Payments can be made in person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Camden County Center or by mailing a check made payable to “Camden County” to PO Box 129 Camden, NC 27921.
