2026 Spring Break Cloverbud Horsing Around Day Camp

Horses in a field

The Currituck County 4-H program is hosting a Cloverbud Horsing Around Day Camp on April 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This fun, hands-on camp is designed for youth ages 5–8 and introduces participants to the wonderful world of horses. Youth will learn the basic parts of a horse, what horses eat, and how to properly groom them. They will also gain hands-on experience by interacting with a horse and enjoying a safe, guided ride led by an experienced leader who walks alongside and controls the horse using a lead line. This program helps build confidence, responsibility, and a love for animals in a fun and supportive environment. The camp will be held at the Currituck County Rural Center located at 184 Milburn Sawyer Road, Powells Point NC.

There is limited space available for this program. Please visit Eventbrite at the link below to register for this program. There is a registration fee of $10 for this day camp. You can pay through eventbrite or via cash or check. If paying cash or check you have to have your cash or check in the NC Cooperative Extension office located at 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917 within 5 days of your eventbrite registration.
