Rows of vegetables in a garden

Join us at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21 at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917, for a Fall Vegetable Gardening class led by Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteer, Dr. Emily Nekl. This informative session will cover everything you need to know to start and maintain a successful fall garden, including planting schedules, crop selection, and soil preparation. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced gardener, you'll leave with practical tips to help you get the most out of your garden this season.

Fall is one of the best times to grow vegetables in our area, thanks to cooler temperatures, fewer pests, and extended harvest opportunities. Dr. Nekl will also highlight the many benefits of gardening in the fall, from improved plant performance to the joy of spending time outdoors in comfortable weather. Come discover how rewarding and productive fall gardening can be!
