Tractor spraying a field

N.C. Cooperative Extension in Currituck County is pleased to announce an opportunity for our Private Pesticide Applicators to earn V credits for their Private Pesticide Applicator License. We look forward to you joining us on Wednesday, March 11th from 9:30 am - 11:30 am at the Currituck Extension Center for our next ‘V’ credit opportunity. This training will cover the V credit portion of the private applicator license which is required every three years. This will be presented by Chris Hassell, NCDA&CS Pesticide Inspector II and Broughton Goodson, Currituck County Agriculture Extension Agent. Please register for this event at Eventbrite.

Pesticide license holders with North Carolina Private Pesticide Applicator licenses set to expire in 2026 need to receive 2 hours of X credit and 2 hours of V credit by the NCDA&CS cut-off date of Sept. 30th, 2026. License holders have 3 years to receive their credits and can search the Dept. of Agriculture’s website or call the Extension office to check how many credits you have for the current license period. The 2026 Northeast Ag Expo Summer Field Day will be July 30th from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm and you will have the opportunity to receive 2 hours of X credit on attendance.
