Cyndi Knudson is the new North Carolina A&T State University Cooperative Extension Area Associate working with small, beginning, and limited-resource farms in northeast North Carolina.  Cyndi is working out of the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center and will cover Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Hyde, Martin, Northampton, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Tyrrell, and Washington Counties. 

The primary purpose of this position is to provide university research-based production information to farms and help make connections to resources and marketing channels to improve the sustainability of small farms.  Cameron Lowe, Currituck County Extension Director stated, “we are very pleased to have yet another resource available to support the farming community in our area. Cyndi is very knowledgeable and motivated and will certainly be an asset to the agriculture industry.”
