Mark your calendars for October 2, 2021, from 1–4 p.m. for the Currituck Farm Festival, a celebration of our agricultural heritage! This event will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center at 120 Community Way in Barco, NC.
To start our celebration, we’ll recognize our Century Farms and our Currituck farmers with an appreciation lunch at our food truck corral; stop by to support our local businesses and grab a bite to eat. After you get some food, head over to our “agriculture through the years” display where we’ll highlight agricultural processes from then and now. These interactive displays include fun for the whole family, such as corn shelling, hayrides, antique tractors and tools, soap-making demos, pumpkin bowling, and more! At the same time, we’ll award our Homegrown and Handmade contest winners, hold our 4-H Chicken Show and skillet throwing contest, and vote in our Brunswick stew cook-off. With all of these contests, displays, and games, there’s something to do and learn for everyone!
