Collapse ▲*Due to inclement weather, the Pruning Trees class is postponed and will be combined with the Pruning Ornamental Shrubs presentation on Saturday, March 12, from 10:00 to Noon.*
Starting in January, we’re beginning our series of workshops for both professionals and homeowners who want to learn how to properly prune their ornamental trees and shrubs. Join us for part one: Pruning Ornamental Trees, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 1 to 3 p.m., and part two: Pruning Ornamental Shrubs, on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 10 a.m. to noon.
There will be a brief lecture, followed by an in-person, hands-on portion to the class, where participants will have an opportunity to prune a live tree and/or shrub on the premises, with staff available to assist you every step of the way! We have a limited number of pruning saws available for use, so please bring your own if possible.
Each of these free, hands-on courses will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center. Prior registration for each of these events is required. Sign up for part one Pruning Ornamental Trees on Saturday, January 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. at https://pruningtreespart1.eventbrite.com, and part two: Pruning Ornamental Shrubs on Saturday, March 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at https://pruningornamentalshrubspart2.eventbrite.com.
