Collapse ▲Join us as we travel to Manteo NC for some kayaking fun on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. exploring around Roanoke Island in the Manteo area. We will put in at Ice Plant Island and travel around the local area exploring our coastal environment. Kayaking is a great healthy living activity for youth and they will also be able to explore and learn about wildlife and plants of our coastal ecosystems.
Participants will need to bring snacks, a water bottle, and lunch money, as we will be having lunch at a local restaurant (about $10 is suggested). This program is for ages 9 to 13. We will depart from N.C. Cooperative Extension – Currituck Center at 120 Community way in Barco at 8:00 a.m. and return to the same location by 4:30 p.m. Register online.
Registration is not complete until your child is enrolled in NC 4-H for the 2022 program year. Register online at 4-H Online.
We are accepting cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NCSU. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck Extension Office located at 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917, within 5 days of registration. Class size is limited and full registration, including payment, is required to hold your spot.
