Currituck County 4-H is hosting a 4-H Domestic Poultry Show on October 7, 2023 for youth ages 5-18. To help participants prepare for the show, we will be holding a workshop on poultry showmanship on September 19, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. During this workshop we will demonstrate how to properly hold your bird and how to present it during judging, when and how to wash and clean your bird for a show, and outline the types of questions the judge may ask during the show.
This workshop will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Center located at 120 Community Way, Barco NC 27917. To register for this workshop please visit: Poultry Show: Getting Show Ready
All participants registered for the 4-H Domestic Poultry Show and the 4-H Poultry Workshops must also be enrolled in 4-H Online for the 2023 program year; the link to that portion of the registration process is available at 4-H Online.
