Landscape Design: Putting Your Ideas on Paper

Join us for this free hands-on presentation, taught by Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteer of Currituck County Joanna Wyckoff, on Thursday, March 21st, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension – Currituck County Center located at 120 Community Way in Barco, North Carolina.  During this class, each student will be taught how to create a functional, landscape design plan for their garden, yard, or homestead.  No previous experience, skills, or expensive tools required! The topics that will be covered are site analysis/site inventory, basic design principles/applications, site-specific design desires, and requirements, basic drafting tools/techniques, creating a blueprint, hardscape/soft scape selection, plant material selection ("right plant, right place"), seasonal considerations, and maintenance requirements.
