Fall apples and Christmas cookies

Currituck County 4-H is conducting a series of programs called Discover 4-H. These programs will be held once a month on Friday evenings from 5:30-7:30 for youth ages 5-10, at the N.C. Cooperative Extension office located at 120 Community Way, Barco NC.

The Discover 4-H series is an exciting collection of hands-on activities that spark curiosity and ignite a passion for learning in young minds. Packed with fun and interactive lessons, this program introduces youth to a wide range of topics—from science and technology to arts, agriculture, and community service. Each activity is designed to develop key life skills like leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking, all while staying true to 4-H’s core values of head, heart, hands, and health. With Discover 4-H, kids don’t just learn—they dive into real-world experiences that inspire growth, creativity, and a lifelong love for exploration.

November 8, 2024: Get ready to dive into the delicious world of fall fruits! In this hands-on program, kids will discover the nutritional power of pumpkins and apples while learning fun, tasty recipes they can make at home.

December 20, 2024: Join us for a festive journey as kids explore holiday traditions from around the world! Through fun activities and crafts, they’ll discover the joy of different celebrations while creating their own holiday memories.

Space is limited so register today by clicking on the eventbrite link for the program(s) you wish to attend.

There is a registration fee of $5.00 for each session. Payment can be made with a credit card via Eventbrite, cash, or check payable to NCSU. Checks and cash can be delivered to the Currituck Extension Office at 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917 within 5 days of registration.

All participants must also be enrolled in 4-H Online for the 2024 program year.
