Honey Extraction Workshop
From the beehive to the bottle, we will harvest honey from the honey beehives at the Currituck County Extension Center on July 29, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This hands-on workshop will cover: selecting full honey frames from the beehive for harvest, extraction procedures, and honey quality assessment, bottling and proper labelling.
This workshop is for beekeepers and people interested in beekeeping. Youth over the age of 10 are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Bee suits will be provided, but please bring your own if you have one. Register online at HoneyExtraction2026.eventbrite.com.
