Currituck County 4-H is hosting A ”Happy Trails” Horse Camps for kids ages 8-14 on July 30, 2026 from 9am-12pm. Camp activities include grooming and basic care, riding, and many other fun activities designed to help your child increase their knowledge and skills about horses, animal care and equitation. These interactive educational camps will provide participants the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the horse industry. The camps will be held at the CCRC (Currituck County Rural Center) located at 184 Milburn Sawyer Rd. in Powells Point, NC. All campers must wear closed-toed shoes and they may bring a snack.

There is a $10.00 registration fee. This may be paid online through Eventbrite or you may pay with cash or check. Cash and check payments need to be paid within five days of your registration. If you are paying by check please make it payable to NCSU, and mail it to NCCE 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917.

Registration is not complete until your child is enrolled in NC 4-H for the 2026 program year. The link to do that is https://v2.4honline.com/ .
