This youth program introduces participants to the important role pollinators play in nature. Youth will learn how pollinators like butterflies, bees, and other insects help plants grow and produce food. Through fun activities and discussion, participants will explore why protecting pollinators is important for our environment. The program will conclude with a special butterfly release, allowing youth to observe these amazing pollinators up close and celebrate their role in supporting healthy ecosystems. All programs will be held at the NC Cooperative Extension office located at 120 Community Way, Barco NC starting at 5:30 pm and ending at 7:30 pm. These programs are free, but space is limited.  Please note that there are two age groups for each workshop (5-7 and 8-10)-make sure to select the correct section when completing the registration form.
