Did you create, bake, grow, or preserve something awesome this year? Show it off at our Handmade and Homegrown contest, held during the Currituck Farm Festival from 1–4 p.m. on October 2, 2021. Contest entries are being accepted for both junior and senior youth as well as adult divisions of Arts and Crafts, Canning, Baked Goods, Cake, and Cupcake decorating, and Homegrown items. Entry is FREE and “Best in Show” awards will be provided to the winners of each category. Winners will be announced and showcased on the main stage of our Currituck Fall Festival! 

Register for the Currituck Fall Festival at https://currituckfarmfest21.eventbrite.com, then finish your application by completing the rules and entry form go.ncsu.edu/currituckhandmade2021. Entries must be submitted to the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Currituck County office for judging by September 30 at 4:30 p.m. For more information or to request an entry form be mailed or emailed to you call (252) 232-2261 or email adam_formella@ncsu.edu.

Currently, masks are not required for in-person classes but are encouraged for unvaccinated individuals. Please be aware this could change in light of changing state or local COVID-19 mandates.
