There are tons of kitchen tools available to the home cook; however, some of the tools can be overwhelming. Even seasoned cooks can be unsure of how to get the most out of their kitchen appliances. N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center has classes to help! Check out the class schedule below and sign up for one or all of our Kitchen Tech Cooking Classes. Classes will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a registration fee of $15.00. Experience hands-on meal prepping, cooking, and storage. Leave with a full stomach and goodies to take home!

Air Fryers- March 15th
Air fryers can recreate the texture and flavor of fried foods, without the added fats and calories from cooking in oil. Navigate the world of air frying with us! Learn everything from the history of air fryers and different accessories that allow you to utilize all the functions, to healthy food preparation techniques, and leave with some of our favorite recipes!
Crock Pots- April 24th
There are several advantages to cooking with a slow cooker. They are fairly inexpensive to purchase and operate; cooking food at a low temperature over several hours. Bring new life to an old favorite by joining us for our crock pot cooking class.
To register complete the online registration and payment through Eventbrite. We are accepting cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NCSU. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck Extension Office located at 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917, within 5 days of registration. Class size is limited and full registration, including payment, is required to hold your spot.
