horse bowl buzzer equipmentAttention all young horse enthusiasts ages 8-18. Do you have a burning desire to learn more about horses? We have some exciting news for you! Currituck County 4-H is holding a virtual horse bowl competition. That’s right, virtual! Participants play by using their cell phones. We are all familiar with that technology, so this should be a breeze and fun.

Currituck County 4-H is offering an online class that will explain the process for the virtual competition,  including how to use your phone to buzz in and answer questions. We will review how the competition will run, as well as how you can be part of a team and gain new horse enthusiast friends.

This class will be held on September 1, 2020, from  6 to 7 p.m. and is free of charge. Once you complete the Eventbrite registration at https://whatishorsebowl.eventbrite.com  you will be given instructions for accessing the class via our online site.

The competition (held at a later date) will also take place online. You will be given a date and time for your round so you will know exactly when you compete. You will be part of a five-member team. This will be a fun and exciting opportunity to learn more about horses plus we will have prizes for the highest placing team. If you already have a four or five-member team we encourage you all to attend this class and receive details on how to compete together.

For more information or for accommodations for persons with disabilities please contact Tom Harrell at Tom_Harrell@ncsu.edu or call our office at 252-232-2262 no later than five business days prior to the event.
