We had so much fun with this workshop, we thought we would offer it as an encore presentation. Don’t miss this opportunity for a fun, hands-on activity where you might just learn something and grow some lettuce for supper!

Gardening is a healthy, fun activity for children! Children that participate in gardening activities develop new skills, learn about science and nature, learn about where their food comes from, and expand their creativity and imagination. 

The 2021 4-H Youth Gardening program will provide hands-on, informative, and imaginative activities for youth of all ages, with new activities each month. This workshop, entitled No Soil? No Problem – Round 2 is a hands-on hydroponics activity for youth ages 10-14. This virtual event will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 4 p.m. and will last approximately 45 minutes. Together, we will learn about hydroponics and make a basic system using a 2-liter bottle.

This workshop is free of charge, and all materials for this workshop will be provided to registered participants. The materials packets can be picked up from the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center prior to the workshop at 120 Community Way, Barco, NC.
