ServSafe logo with dates of classCalling all those in the restaurant and foodservice industry! N.C. Cooperative Extension will be offering a ServSafe Food Safety Class on July 18 – 20th! This 14-hour class is to be held at the Chowan Ag. Building, 730 N. Granville St. Edenton NC in the Conference Room and will begin promptly at 9 a.m. each day. ServSafe is a course designed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to provide foodservice operators, managers, and support personnel with the knowledge essential for food preparation and handling within their respective facilities to help reduce the risk of food-borne illness. The course covers handling food, from receiving and storing to preparing and serving. It gives science-based information on how to run a safe establishment.

The 14-hour class will be scheduled as followed: 

  • July 18th Instruction Day 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  
  • July 19th Instruction Day 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
  • July 20th Exam Day 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.  

Test Registration cost is $125 (which includes the 7th edition book and exam sheet.)

To register complete the online registration and payment through our Eventbrite site. The registration deadline is July 5th. We are accepting cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NCSU. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Chowan County Cooperative Extension, 730 N. Granville St. Suite A Edenton, NC  27932 within 5 days of registration. Class size is limited and full registration, including payment, is required to hold your spot.
