N.C. Cooperative Extension would like to congratulate Ms.Genesis L. Drake for winning the Currituck County Extension and Community Association (ECA) Scholarship. 

This year’s scholarship was presented to Ms.Genesis L. Drake of Currituck, North Carolina by ECA County Council President Evelyn Henley, who is working as a volunteer group for N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center. ECA is always looking for ways to encourage community higher education and leadership opportunities.

Ms. Drake is a 2022 graduate of Currituck County High School and the Daughter of Mr. Stevey & Mrs.Charissa Drake. Ms. Genesis will be attending North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (A&T) State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. Genesis has been accepted into the Honors program at North Carolina A & T State University, where she will be majoring in the field of Business.

Ms. Drake has received numerous honors at Currituck High School in the Senior Beta Club, Academic Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Program, and Honors Court. Ms. Drake also participated in various Community and Civic activities, including Mesowannago 4-H Summer Junior Camp Counselor, Delta Academy Elizabeth City Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta  Sorority Inc, and Youth Choir at Christian Home Baptist Church and Good Hope AME Zion Church.
