Collapse ▲Currituck County 4-H is thrilled to announce the launch of our exciting “Drone Zone” workshops, offering six dynamic sessions designed to ignite the imaginations of young tech enthusiasts aged 8-13. This highly interactive program provides a unique opportunity for 4-H youth to dive into the world of drone technology and coding.
Participants will get hands-on experience programming and flying the Parrot Mambo indoor mini drone through a challenging obstacle course. Using online coding software, our young aviators will master block-based drone coding, learn essential flight safety protocols, and understand key flight terminology and concepts. They’ll also develop skills in determining flight path directions, maneuvers, and speeds.
Each session is identical, allowing flexibility for busy summer schedules. Choose the date that works best for you and get ready for an unforgettable aerial adventure:
- Session 1: Tuesday, August 6, 2-5 p.m.
- Session 2: Wednesday, August 7, 2-5 p.m.
- Session 3: Thursday, August 8, 2-5 p.m.
- Session 4: Tuesday, August 13, 2-5 p.m.
- Session 5: Wednesday, August 14, 2-5 p.m.
- Session 6: Thursday, August 15, 2-5 p.m.
All sessions are open to any fully enrolled 4-H youth ages 8-13. To register for this fun and exciting activity, visit Eventbrite.
