Collapse ▲The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center is excited to announce that it will host a viewing party for the 2024 Shelton Leadership Forum on October 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event provides a unique opportunity for local leaders, professionals, and community members to engage with a nationally recognized forum focused on values-based leadership and practical solutions for today’s dynamic workplace.
This year’s forum will explore the complexities and opportunities presented by multigenerational teams in the workplace. With five generations represented in today’s workforce, organizations face the challenge of integrating a diverse range of experiences, perspectives, working styles, and values. The 2024 Shelton Leadership Forum will delve into strategies to foster a cohesive and collaborative work environment by first examining the assumptions and generalizations about each generation.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from esteemed speakers, engage in panel discussions, and participate in breakout sessions aimed at identifying actionable strategies to overcome generational barriers, dispel misconceptions, and promote synergy among team members. By focusing on the strengths and talents that each generation brings, the forum will provide practical approaches to bridge generational gaps, encourage mutual understanding, and leverage diversity for innovative organizational success and enhanced team effectiveness.
Join us at the Currituck Extension Center as we embark on this journey to unlock the full potential of multigenerational teams and build a brighter future for our organizations. This event is free, but registration is required. Now in its 23rd year, the Shelton Leadership Forum is a nationally recognized event that attracts participants from across North Carolina and surrounding states. The forum is dedicated to providing accessible, values-based leadership development opportunities for emerging leaders and those who work with them. Its reach extends to a wide range of audiences, including the university, community college, military, and professional sectors throughout North Carolina and beyond.
Don’t miss this chance to be part of an impactful event that will equip you with the tools to cultivate a more inclusive and collaborative workplace.
