This November, the Currituck Extension Foundation invites the community to take part in a unique fundraising opportunity: the “Buy a Date, Make a Difference” Calendar Fundraiser. By “buying” a date on the November calendar, participants can support local efforts while entering for a chance to win exciting prizes in the Currituck Extension Foundation’s December “12 Days of Giveaways.”
Here’s how it works: community members select a date on the November calendar and donate that amount (e.g., $5 for November 5, $25 for November 25). Every dollar donated counts as an entry into the December giveaways, increasing participants’ chances of winning. Whether you choose a special date, your favorite number, or the “Bonus Square” for a $100 donation, your participation helps fuel vital programs that support those in need in our community.
The “12 Days of Giveaways” in December will reward supporters with amazing prizes from local businesses and sponsors, including gift cards, exclusive experiences, and more! Winners will be drawn each day between December 1-12, with prizes building up to an exciting grand finale.
How to Participate:
- Visit the donate portal on our site (https://go.ncsu.edu/cefdonate).
- Pick your November date and make a custom donation equal to that number.
- Each dollar donated counts as one entry in the December giveaways.
“We’re thrilled to offer this calendar fundraiser, which lets everyone get involved in a fun, meaningful way,” said Lindsay Asbury, Board Chair. “This event brings our community together, with each donation directly supporting things like the Currituck 4-H Backpacks for Kids Program, camp scholarships, volunteer training and more. We’re grateful for all the support and can’t wait to celebrate our amazing community with fantastic prizes in December!”
Donations will be accepted starting November 1st and will continue throughout the month. Don’t miss your chance to buy a date, support a great cause, and win in the process! You can also donate by bringing cash or a check made out to “Currituck Extension Foundation” to 120 Community Way, Barco.
