Are you a Currituck County teen between the ages of 12 and 18 looking to make a difference? Do you want to develop leadership skills, help plan county wide activities and fundraisers, give back to your community, and be a voice for youth in local decision-making? If so, the Currituck County 4-H Youth Council is the perfect opportunity for you!
The Currituck County 4-H Youth Council is a leadership club designed to empower young people by teaching them how to run meetings, plan community service projects, define and refine their leadership skills and engage in citizenship initiatives.
As a member, you will meet once a month where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with local leaders, build confidence, and leave a lasting impact on your community. This club will have a slate of officers that will give the members and officers the opportunity to learn how to direct a formal meeting. Youth members will also help plan community service projects, plan county level activities and fundraisers. By being a part of the Youth Council, you’ll gain valuable skills that will benefit you in school, college applications, and future careers.
Please register through our eventbrite link below and join us on April 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Currituck County Center located at 120 Community Way, Barco NC 27917. After the April meeting we will be meeting monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
