Join us on June 9, 2025 where your child will enjoy visiting the Virginia Beach Farmers Market with a tour guide and participate in several hands-on activities including; milking “Beachy” the model Holstein Cow, making butter, grinding corn and many other fun activities. The goal of this program is to inspire children to appreciate healthy eating, local agriculture, and sustainability from an early age. We will gather at Cooperative Extension-Currituck Center and depart at 9 a.m. for Virginia Beach, VA. We will participate in the tour and return to the Cooperative- Extension by 3 p.m. Make sure to pack a lunch that your child can enjoy at the farmers market. This event is for children ages 5 to 8 years old.
Registration is not complete until your child is enrolled in NC 4-H for the 2025 program year. The link to do that is https://v2.4honline.com/ . We will gladly help you complete your online registration and 4-H Enrollment. Please feel free to call us at 252-232-2262, and we will walk you through the process. Once you are enrolled in the 4-H program you can finish registering for this event by clicking on the following link: https://farmermarket.eventbrite.com.
