Come join us as we explore the waters of the Currituck Sound from the Currituck County Rural Center on Thursday, October 16, 2025. We will gather at N.C. Cooperative Extension – Currituck County Center and depart at 9 a.m. for the Rural Center where we will launch the kayaks at the park’s boat ramp. If you want to meet us there, be there by 9:30 a.m. The CCRC is located at 184 Milburn Sawyer Road in Powells Point. We will explore the waters and the wildlife in the area. Pack a lunch and bring a change of clothes. We will return to the Rural Center by 3:00 p.m. and the NC Cooperative Center by 4:00 p.m. This program is for ages 8 to 14 and the cost is $5.00.

Registration is not complete until your child is enrolled in NC 4-H for the 2025 program year. The link to do that is 4honline.com.
We are accepting cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NCSU. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck County Center located at 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917, within 5 days of registration. Space is limited and full registration, including payment, is required to hold your spot.
