N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center is cooking up tons of free, virtual fun this summer that highlights local foods. Register for our Summer Pop-up series to be surprised weekly with four (4) educational classes, tons of activities, and more. Topics will include local produce available, growing local foods, and cooking local produce. Each week starting on July 27, 2020, the class will go live at noon and end at 1 p.m. Recordings of each class will be released after the live airing in case you missed it. The last class will air on August 17 and viewing will be closed on August 31. A few days prior to each class we will release the class topic and a supply list.
Those who participate in this event will receive a custom local produce cookbook as well as the chance to be entered into multiple drawings for tons of prizes throughout the series. This event is intended for everyone. Parents or guardians are welcome to include their kids in on the fun! To be included in the fun, sign up at https://summerpopup20.eventbrite.com.
