Do you need a day out where you can enjoy learning new things while having fun? We have the perfect class for you! N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center is partnering with the Villas at Waterside this spring to offer Waterside Workshops with Extension. Classes will be held at the Clubhouse, and the class fee of $20.00 which will cover class materials and giveaways. If you want to purchase two tickets, call the Currituck Extension Office at 252-232-2261 for a discounted second ticket. The discounted ticket will not receive any promotional items purchased for the class, but will still include the meal.
April 13th - Herbs
In our herbs class, we’ll learn to make delicious mocktails while creating mason jar container herb gardens. After we create our gardens, we’ll learn a few recipes to use our fresh herbs that we’ll sample for lunch! Class will start at 10:00 and will finish with lunch at Noon.
May 23rd - Grilling
Join us for our grilling class from 5:30 - 7:30, and enjoy an evening at the clubhouse learning to grill a few of our favorite recipes while watching a Currituck Summer Sunset! By the end of our class, we’ll have you ready to impress your friends with your grilling skills on Memorial Day.
June 13th - Seafood
Our last class will start at 10am when we will dive into one of our largest local foods. In our seafood class we will cover what’s in season, seafood selection, and where you can purchase local seafood. Of course we will teach you how to create some delicious recipes featuring these local foods.
Sign up today at https://watersideworkshops.eventbrite.com. We are accepting cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NCSU. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck Extension Office located at 120 Community Way Barco, NC 27917, within 5 days of registration. Class size is limited and full registration, including payment, is required to hold your spot.
