Description: N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center will be offering a number of opportunities to receive Private Applicator Pesticide License credits this winter meeting season. Meetings will look different due to COVID-19 restrictions; however, we are committed to providing research-based information as safely as possible. We will be offering a number of in-person/Zoom training in the upcoming months. In-person training will be limited in attendance and all COVID-19 restrictions must be followed by attendees. The current restrictions require no more than 10 participants, which includes speakers, masks must be worn, and attendees must be spaced 6ft apart. In order to receive pesticide credits for Zoom meetings, participants must keep their webcams on throughout the duration of the meetings. For questions or concerns, please contact Adam Formella, Agriculture Extension Agent at 252-232-2261.

N.E. AG. Expo Regional Soybean and Corn Production Meetings

To accommodate as many growers as possible throughout Northeastern North Carolina, the Northeast Ag. Expo team is offering multiple in-person/Zoom meetings instead of just one of each. Each meeting will be offered online via Zoom and in-person. Current restrictions only allow 9 in-person participants at each meeting. If you’d like to attend in person, you must contact the Extension office at least 24 hours prior to class. To receive the Zoom link and passcode, email Adam Formella at adam-formella@ncsu.edu. Two hours of N,O,D,& X credits will be offered for each meeting. The soybean production meetings will be offered on January 12, 13, & 14 from 8:30–10:30 a.m. The following week, the corn production meetings will be held on January 19, 20, & 21 from 8:30–10:30 a.m.

Private Applicator “V” Credit Training

If your private applicator’s pesticide license is expiring in 2021, you will need to make sure you get 2 hours of “V” credits. We will offer our first opportunity on January 25 from 9–11 a.m. The meeting will be held in-person and via Zoom. This meeting will be limited to 8 in-person participants. If you’d like to attend in person, you must contact the Extension office at least 24 hours prior to class. To receive the Zoom link and passcode, email Adam Formella at adam-formella@ncsu.edu.

Zoom Help

If you’d like to attend the meetings over Zoom, but need help, check out the Zoom Help Center, or the video. If you need additional help, please contact Adam Formella, by email adam_formella@ncsu.edu or phone 252-232-2261.

Space is limited for all in-person meetings and is determined on a first-call, first-served basis. If you have questions or need accommodations for persons with disabilities please contact Adam Formella at 252-232-2261 or email adam_fomrella@ncsu.edu no later than five business days before the event.
