Homegrown and Handmade
Did you create, bake, grow, or preserve something extraordinary this year? Show it off at our Homegrown and Handmade contest, held during the Currituck County Planes and Plows event from 10 am - 3 pm on Oct. 7, 2023. Contest entries are being accepted for adults (18+) and three youth age groups (5-8, 9-13, & 14-18) in four categories: Arts and Crafts, Canning, Baked Goods, and Homegrown items. Entry is FREE and “Best in Show” awards will be provided to the winners of each category. Winners will be announced and showcased on the main stage at Currituck County Planes and Plows!
Cornbread Bake Off
Do you bake the best cornbread in Currituck? Well, let’s find out! Enter your cornbread in the Cornbread Bake Off held during Currituck County’s Planes and Plows from 10 am - 3 pm on Oct. 7, 2023. Contest entries are being accepted for adults (18+) and three youth age groups (5-8, 9-13, & 14-18). And the best news of all, entry is FREE! Grand and Reserve will be awarded in each age group.
A complete list of rules and the entry form for these contests can be found at: https://planesandplowscontest.eventbrite.com. All entries must complete the online entry form to be considered for judging. Canning entries must be submitted to the Currituck County Extension Office for judging by Sept. 29th at 4:30 pm all other entries can be received on Oct 7th by 11 am at the Planes and Plows event.
