Want to learn more about the Corolla Wild Horses or just horses in general ? Join us June 21 and 28; July 12, 19 and 26; and August 2, 2021 from 9am -12pm. This camp is for youth ages 8 -12 and will be held at the Corolla Wild Horse Farm in Grandy , NC. Participants will learn basic horse care, riding techniques and the heritage of the Corolla Wild Horses. Each week we will explore a different horse related topic during the workshop, so feel free to sign up for one week or all six . The cost for each camp will be $5. Fees will cover all supplies, educational materials, and camp insurance.
Week 1: June 21 Learn the origins of the Corolla Wild Horses
Week 2: June 28 Learn about the nutrition of the Corolla Wild Horses
Week 3: July 12 Learn the parts of the horse and how they work
Week 4: July 19 Learn about vet care, vaccines, worming, farrier, feeding and more
Week 5: July 26 Learn parts of Western and English tack
Week 6: August 2 Learn everything you need to know to be a horse owner
***Campers will get to ride and care for the horses at each camp

Currently, in-person classes require masks to be worn for the duration of the class without exception. If you arrive without a mask one will be provided for you. We ask all participants to maintain six feet of distance while on the premises. We are following the current North Carolina mandates.
